Each floor has a spacious lounge which overlooks the garden. There is also a second lounge on the first floor which is our cinema room, and on our Dementia floor there is a second lounge which is our pub. Hoylake Cottage provides a safe and enclosed dementia friendly garden which is especially designed to stimulate the senses with safe scented plants and a beautiful water feature. It also provides space for residents to enjoy gardening in the potting shed or the specially designed raised beds and vegetable patch. There is plenty of seating too for those who prefer to just sit and relax.
Dining
Mealtimes are a real sociable event at Hoylake Cottage. Nutritious meals are prepared on site by our trained chef. They are able to cater for special dietary requirements. A choice of meals is served in our dining rooms located on each floor or in a location of your choice such as your bedroom. Refreshments are served regularly throughout the day.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom benefits from a spacious en suite shower room. All bedrooms and en suite areas are equipped with a nurse call system. This enables maximum independence with the comfort of knowing help is available at the press of a button. All bedrooms are furnished with electrically operated fully adjustable beds, wardrobes, dressing tables, chest of drawers, and central heating, wiring for telephones, television and internet connections.
Visiting Services
An experienced hairdresser runs our purpose built salon every week. A chiropodist, podiatrist, optician and dentist also attend the home.
Laundry
All your clothing is laundered and delivered back to your room. It is helpful if clothing is labelled with your name, and is suitable for both machine washing and tumble drying.
Pets
Your family is welcome to bring well behaved pets to visit during your stay with us.
Passenger lifts
A passenger lift and a second service lift serve our middle and top floor and can comfortably accommodate wheelchairs.
