Hoylake Cottage is a purpose-built facility that offers nursing and nursing dementia care in a homely environment. We are set in a quiet residential area of Hoylake on the Wirral, only a few minutes’ walk from both Meols and Hoylake train station.

Care services at Hoylake Cottage
Residential Nursing & Dementia Care
Hoylake Cottage offers 24 hour-nursing and dementia care which is tailored to the needs of our residents.
Each floor at Hoylake Cottage features spacious, welcoming lounges with views of our beautiful gardens, alongside thoughtfully designed spaces including our cinema room and dementia-friendly floor, creating opportunities for relaxation and connection.
Every bedroom includes a spacious en suite shower room and a nurse call system, offering residents comfort, independence, and reassurance that support is always close at hand.
Our secure, dementia-friendly garden has been carefully created to inspire the senses, with fragrant planting, peaceful surroundings, and calming water features to enjoy throughout the seasons.
Mealtimes are an important part of life at Hoylake Cottage, bringing residents together to enjoy freshly prepared, nutritious meals created by our trained chef.
Sandhills Day Centre
On-site, our Sandhills dementia day service provides a bright, welcoming space designed to promote comfort, connection, and well-being, with spacious lounges and inviting communal areas. Our themed Memory Lane rooms, including a 1950s shop, 1930s parlour, and 1970s pub - encourage reminiscence, conversation, and meaningful connection through familiar surroundings.
We offer transport to and from Hoylake Cottage, a freshly prepared two-course lunch, and a varied programme of therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs.
Every individual is supported with dignity, respect, and compassion by our experienced team of qualified Therapeutic Support Workers and Drivers.
Open Monday to Thursday, 9am-4pm.
We also offer half days at 9am-1pm or 12pm-4pm.
Referral and Admission
Referrals can be made directly to the manager Sarah Cliffe. Sarah will meet with the individual and their family and any other professional who may be involved. We are happy to accept people who are private funded or CHC funded. Please ask for more information about fees when you contact us.
